To me, collaboration is not only working in groups, but working effectively as a group. At our school group work is essential and we know it will be important in a work environment so we practice and learn it. We use it almost always in projects. We have to understand each other to be effective.  We practice this every day in all of our classes. We use this to be better at working together which is a skill we will need to use in a workplace. We practiced this in the storybook project because we worked in a small group for several weeks.  The project was to work in a group to make a storybook for kids that explains a wellness concept. Through this I had a lot of practice understanding my group members and respecting them.
