10TH GRADE
The start of the year was very insignificant in my mind. I was coming into tenth grade with the same freshman mindset. I didn’t care about the beginning of the year because I knew I would be able to recover my grades by the end. This mentality is what ultimately gave me the hardest time during my sophomore year. In my mind I didn’t compensate for a larger work load. After the first quarter I knew I messed up. I gave myself a way harder time then I needed to. I was starting to fall further behind then I thought I would. The missing assignments started to pile up and I was getting very overwhelmed. It took me failing several classes to realize that it was my mindset that was throwing me off. Even though that mindset changed it was still difficult to recover from all of the assignments that I didn’t do. I know that I am different now then I was at the beginning of the year.
